I discovered the vibrating pair of pink and orange late in life. Matisse was fond of it and also used it in still life. Here the pink light is in diagonal fluid waves and falls gently on the frosted orange glass vase. A lovely casual mix of spring flowers fill the picture frame. Yellow daisies warm the grouping. I love to paint lilies partially opened - still with a hint of greenness.
